Default Scientology v. Sweeney

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programme...ma/6651231.stm

The battleground is YouTube and Scientology's weapon is a clip of me losing it in the "Mind Control" section of a gruesome exhibition.

Scientology has fought many battles to keep its secrets off the web, now they are using it to attack my investigation into them.

Scientology has prepared an attack video, and they have shown the Scientology v Sweeney shouting match to anyone who would watch it.

While making our BBC Panorama film "Scientology and Me" I have been shouted at, spied on, had my hotel invaded at midnight, denounced as a "bigot" by star Scientologists and been chased round the streets of Los Angeles by sinister strangers.

Back in Britain strangers have called on my neighbours, my mother-in-law's house and someone spied on my wedding and fled the moment he was challenged.

I saw this report on the news last night and it was strange enough then! To read the journalists account though really puts it over the top. Apparently he is a well respected journalist as well, not someone who came out of the woodwork for this project.

I saw the Southpark on Scientology and it was hilarious. Easy for them to do because they just drew the pictures to go with the "incident" that is described in this article!

The best part of that episode is "THIS IS ACTUALLY WHAT THEY BELIEVE", across the bottom of the screen.

I did a pile of research on the dingbats and their scientologist religion. Over 80% of the websites I found actually made reference to the south park episode. It is one of the few free episodes you are actually allowed to download of South park because they want the world to know how wacked these people really are.

I like the way he ended his article...

Despite all the pressure - the letters from lawyers, the letters from MPs, the strangers knocking up my family and neighbours - if people from "disconnected" families tell me that Scientology is a cult, that will be reported.
Good for him to not stay quiet.

Agreed! The fact that it was "true" made it even funnier!

Again I will pipe in and say that everyone who has any doubt or wants to learn more about the "real" Scientology to read "A Piece of Blue Sky" by John Atack.

Scientology is an insanely powerful and completely enveloping cult that has way too much power.
