TV news - new fall schedules

Some interesting news from the announced NBC fall schedule:

- It looks like NBC is using the six-hour “Heroes: Origins” spinoff to plug up “repeat holes” in the “Heroes” schedule. Set in the “Heroes” universe, the spinoff is to introduce a new hero each week that may be integrated into the main show. Is it an anthology series?

Also of note:
- Studio 60 gone. Too bad...solid show. The final eppies will air starting may 24th.
- Crossing Jordan gone. Meh.
- Apprentice gone.
- Scrubs back
- 30 episodes of The Office
- Seinfeld back on with some mini episode thing
- Friday Night Lights officially back (woot!)
- L&O Original - back
- L&O CI - moved to USA

Studio 60 is a shame. I am one that fell off the waggon a few episodes into it. It was a great show, but didn't hook me into returning.

I fear that the 'Heroes' spin-off may cause overkill. I hope not, but I still fear.

I still can't believe that the TV viewing public will be subject to that 'Bingo' idea on ABC... who booked this crap?

Good to see Scrubs still around. Another one I don't watch, unless I catch it, but I respect Zach Braff...

Too bad about Studio 60. Great show. But this is not surprising news. Also liked Crossing Jordan. Some quirky characters.

The Office doing 30 episodes is great! I hope that the show doesn't become too watered down or too much of a soap opera though...its one of the best shows on TV!

I'm happy to see the return of Friday Night Lights, in my mind it was one of the better shows this year.

NBC Universal will also have the exclusive U.S. broadcast and cable network rights to the film, which features Seinfeld as the voice of Barry B. Benson, a disillusioned bee. Good to see The Office coming back, but with a lot of the characters moving towards the big screen I am a bit concerned for the longevity of the show…

OMG. I didn't know what you were talking about until I saw this article.

In each game, a contestant will try his/her luck, racing against the studio audience as balls numbered from 1-75 are randomly selected from a giant sphere set in a high-tech "Bingo Plex" arena. The studio audience will track the numbers on their own Bingo cards for a chance to win cash and prizes and send the contestant home empty-handed.

I guess ABC is competing with the community access stations for viewers.
