Pens win a big road game to split the opening games in the sunshine state. Martin Gerber stepped in between the pipes and made his acquistion worth while with this one performance, it was not outstanding, but it was a victory in the conference finals and that is all we can ask for. Jason Spezza is becoming a legitimate superstar in this league and showed why he was the leagues top goalscorer in the regular season with a helper early in the second before he made a great move to get past two defenders and slip the eventual game winner past Fernandez with just 12 seconds left in the second period. Special teams were our only downfall in this game and we will look to shore up both our PP and PK as we head home looking to mantain home ice advantage with 2 big games this weekend in Pittsburgh.
