How do you game? PC or Console?
The top 5 computer game thread got me interested in knowing how many people prefer a console or PC for gaming. I searched to see if this had been done before, but I didn't find anything.
My intention is not to say or debate which is better. I don't want a console vs pc flame war, just curious the percentage of console players vs pc players.
I myself am a PC gamer. I thought I was a dying breed. None of my friends PC game, they all have consoles. But after reading through the PC game thread, some of my faith has been restored that there are others out there like me.
So which is it? PC, Console, or both? Or neither?
Is it possible for a mod to make this into a poll? Thanks.

I do both.
Computer is primarly first person shooters and RTS games.
XBox 360 is used for 3rd person shooters (Lost Planet, GOW etc) racing games, and Guitar Hero's II.
As of right now I mostly do my gaming on my 360.

Both, but I prefer PC gaming. All of the games on my 360 are console only titles.

PC gaming beats console gaming anytime imo. just look at the top 5 games thread, they're basically all computer games. maybe with the new wiimote generation console gaming will slowly get better quality games, but at the moment, all the good games are on pc. imagine trying to play diablo 2, warcraft, or counter-strike on console. very difficult to do with quality

Both.
I think consoles are better for sports games, but PC is better for RTS/FPS types of games.
In my life I've had Atari PCS (what it was called before 2600, but the same thing), Commodore 64 (although I leaned to program on it and used it for word processing (GEOS), but I did a lot of gaming on it - The Bards Tale, Summer Games, et al), PS2 and Wii.

I PC game, I don't like sitting myself in front of the TV to console game. Feels like I'm cut off from the rest of the world and to be honest, I don't like controllers. Everything feels so limited.
At the PC, I'll game for like 10 minutes, and then go do other stuff, and game again...or multitask on 2-3 monitors.
Console gaming is only a social activity with friends, I'd never play console games by myself.

PC.
Prior to the Wii, the last console I bought was the Super NES.
Excluding the Gameboy/DS line.

PC mostly for me. RTS, FPS, RPG, MMO games are all very PC friendly.
Sports games, I can't imagine not playing on a Console. I've never tried and never want to. Other things like fighting games and adventure games should also be played on consoles.

Console exclusively.
I don't know man, a PC might technically be better but who gives a crap? I for one do not want to deal with video cards, sound cards or any of that, I turn the game on and play while sitting on my soft couch. PC gaming has always struck me ab being super nerdy, but that's just me.

To keep your computer in line with the latest gaming, you either have to upgrade it every 1-3 years or buy a brand new one. In the end it costs a lot more to do this compared to having to buy a new console every 5 years or so.
Me I was console gamer from 1990-1995, then a computer gamer from 1996-2003, then I switched back to console in 2003 because I grew tired gaming requirements becoming steeper and steeper with each passing year on the PC. I don't want to buy a $300-400 graphics card every f'ing year just to get a quality gaming experience on the newest games.
So now I only play older games on my PC: Civilization II and III, Sam n Max, Day of the Tentacle, Half-Life, Leisure Suit Larry, Command and Conquer Series (not the new 3rd one) etc.
I like playing on my Wii much more than computer gaming. Plus I can't play computer games with my wife or with my friends when they are over

Only if you're picky about having to run it at the highest settings. I've had mine for 3 years and although I cant run every game at the highest settings I can still run them at high settings and still get good framerates. I wont be upgrading or building a new one for a while.
