Default Digging for the forgotten

A German man spends his time digging in a forest, looking for the forgotten dead soldiers of World War II.

Here and in other places, he's unearthed 20,000.

Interesting hobby. Hard to imagine what it would have been like in the final weeks of the war before and during the fall of Berlin. How many thousands of familys lost loved ones and had no idea what really happened? The part about the 92 year old widow finally knowing what happened to her husband over 60 years ago is very touching.

Great story.

My uncle was taken away by the Serbs during the 1995 massacre in Srebrenica and his body was never found. My cousins and aunt seem to re-live the pain every time a mass grave is discovered.
