Default Shane Doan deserves an apology in the House of Commons!

I just sent this e-mail to the Prime Minister's office...

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

I wish you would stand up in the House of Commons today and make a public apology today to Mr. Shane Doan. I know you yourself and your party have nothing to apologize for but to be honest, Mr Doan will NEVER receive a public apology from those members (i.e, Mr Duceppe, Mr Dion, and Mr Layton, and a few other guilty members of their parties) who should be apologizing for slandering and dragging Mr Doan's name through the mud.

Mr Doan is one of the finest examples of a Canadian gentleman that you will ever find. He has represented Canada on numerous occasions and you will have to look long and hard to find someone who is willing to say something bad about him (not counting federal politicians who are only looking to score political points in Quebec, no matter whether what the cost to Mr Doan and the truth be damned).

Frankly, those politicians who have dragged Mr Doan's name through the mud should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Before slandering Mr Doan, did they contact the NHL and ask them about the hearing that was held in 2005 with regards to this incident? NO! Did they contact anybody else about this in order to find out what kind of person Mr Doan was? NO! They didn't care. All they were concerned about was that this looked like a good opportunity to get some headlines and to look like they were defending the French of Quebec.

Mr Doan deserves better than this from his country! Do the right thing. Apologize to Mr Doan in the House of Commons. He deserves it!

My only regret is that you will be the one apologizing... but we both know that the real guilty parties will never do the right thing. The best we can do, for Mr Doan, is apologize on behalf of Mr Duceppe, Mr Dion, Mr Layton, and the other guilty members of their parties.

Regards,

There really is no need for a third thread on this subject.
