seriously though, I think $42 plus shipping is reasonable... but like most out in the East Coast I'm between jobs, so bantering the idea back and forth.
Out of curiosity, this actually would work against me if anything, but how much would it be to ship those books 3/4 of the way across the country?

Actually, my experience has been that shipping parcels to the coast was about $1 cheaper than shipping to Toronto.
When I used to sell on eBay I'd get people in Toronto complaining that my shipping rate was the same across Canada. Then I'd explain that the cost was about the same.........

Okay what kind of condition is 1984 in? I have a bazillion books and I'm one of those people that can't stand a "used" looking book, all my books paperback/hardcover are all in great condition.

It's in great condition. I bought it 'new' a few months ago and it's only been read once. No stains, tears, etc.
