24hr Study Area

The late nite paper writing thread got me thinking...

I can't really study @ home. I basically have to be @ the library or somewhere to study.
I goto MRC, and the library normally closes @ 8pm and is closed on holidays and such.
I find it crazy that MRC doesnt have a 24hr study lab!
Does UofC?

Basically for a study place, I need it decently quiet, and internet.

I've never been a coffee drinker, but i'm sure that there are lots of 24hr coffee shops in town.
What is the etiquette for coffee shops? How often would one have to drink/order a new coffee in order to occupy a spot in the shop?

Anyone else have some suggestions/tips for places to study?

I always figure it depends on how busy the place is. I frequently just order one cup of coffee and loiter for an hour plus reading books without a problem but this is typically later at night when places aren't too busy.

the entire science theater building used to be open 24hrs - there's a number of tables and carrols around there....not sure if that's still the case however.

The science theaters may be 24hr. I know for sure they're open really early to really late. Also, I'm pretty sure there's parts of the library that are 24hr.
I've never been one to study all night, so I can't say for sure.

The info commons at the library at U of C should be in full 24-hr mode by now. Lots of tables, lots of computers. Some soft benches as well.
