Default Weird architecture thread

Inspired by a couple posts in the 'Calgary skyline by 2010' thread, I thought it would be cool if CPers knew of any really weird looking man made structures like skyscrapers and bridges. These were the ones mentioned in the earlier thread:

Turning Torso:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turning_Torso

Beehive:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beehive_%28building%29

I think it will be interesting to see what we can come up with!

I was in Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago and went to the Carnegie Museum of Arts where they had an architecture display called "Dirty London". There was some cool stuff in there... I'll see if I can find online pics of some of the stuff.

*edit* Okay, they apparently either changed it, or I remembered incorrectly. The display was "Gritty Brits". Either way, this was one of the buildings featured...

If you go to this company's main website, they have some pretty interesting ideas.

I've always thought the Habitat concept they did in Montreal (either for the '67 Expo, or as the Olympic Village - I can't remember) was pretty neat.

Edit: The site says it was built in '67. So, I guess it was built for Expo.

When I was living in Auckland, that restaurant was in the news because it was being designed by a Kiwi architect, who apparently wants to put up a similar restaurant in the Aucklanf harbour area...Anyways, that's an obscure find!

La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain was one of my favourites from a backpacking trip to Europe. As with everything here, pictures don't do its size justice.

I agree, that is absolutely stunning when you see it (especially the first time). I like the story behind it too.

The crazy thing is that it's going to be almost twice the height when its finished.

You could add pretty much everything that Gaudi designed to this thread.
Another example:

Gaudi's work is unreal. Love it all.

As for the modern stuff, I like that first one in Sweden and the one in Osaka
