Default Does anyone know where to get the yellow "Support our Troops" ribbon?

Does anyone know where to get the yellow "Support our Troops" ribbon? Specifically the stickers/decals for cars?

There was an article in the paper about that today, sorry, I didn't get to finish the whole thing but was left with the impression that they are not available just yet.

Whole thing with the city is getting rediculous, I will most certainly be putting one on my car.

What's going on with the city? I thought they were putting them on their vehicles.

Because this is the largest Calgary based send off since Bosnia- the Mayor is doing a "give them the keys to the city" type of thing as a send off.

Which to me would mean more if I were going away than hearing about how he had ordered up 2000 decals.

I bought my current yellow magnetic ribbon from some reservists that had a table set up at a Flames game last winter...

I don't see why it has to be a one or the other thing - that thought reiterates the article in the Sun - but all the same , the decals are free, its not costing the city anything, and hell ya they should do a proper "key to the city" or whatever sendoff... I say yes to both... I see no reason (especially with cost removed) why the mayor would be okay with one and not the other...

Personally I remember growing up and knowing that Canada was famous for its peace keeping, I was proud of that... but in my mind until this mission we had really for the most part stopped earning it... riding the wake of missions long since past... I'm proud of what we are doing over there, I do believe in the mission, although the plan of attack may need to be revisited, and it would be nice if the rest of Canada would continue to support the troops and the mission... failing that support the troops... you don't have to like the mission in order to support the troops.

I've bought from there before, and it's a great service. Plus, it's official "merchandise". This is the website Don Cherry was advertising.

Go down to the old CFB Calgary site and find the Military Family Community Resource building and you should be set.

You should do some investiagtion into what the Canadians were doing in the former Yugoslavia through the 90's. I'd hardly call it "riding the wake".

I was expecting your post... I knew we had to be doing something but honestly, maybe it was because I was younger or just time has faded the memories of it, but what ever the reason I don't remember there being much of a public profile about missions in that era... So I guess I just meant that the perception I had from during that time and the 80's was along the lines of "riding the wake" - but didn't mean to imply that we literally did nothing or that what we did do wasn't a sacrifice for the men and women serving...
