I would go with the Northstars as most memorable and nostalgic looking. Plus I read somewhere that Prince's watercooler has a Northstars sticker on it.

Personally, I'd go with the ones you mentioned but didn't post, either the Whalers (bonus points if it has Pucky the Whale on the shoulder), or the Atlanta Flames.
I don't think there'd be anything wrong with wearing the ATL jersey around Calgary, I love the Flaming A almost as much as the Flaming C.
I also thought the Whalers had a great logo and unique looking uniforms.
If you're choosing between the 3 you posted, I'd rank them: Stars, Rockies, Jets. I was never really a fan of those Jets jerseys, their older ones (with the vertical arm stripe) were a little better, but still nothing great.

I have an old blue Colorado Rockies jersey that I won on ebay a while back, with Ramage #5 on the back. It's actually pretty sweet. Not a CCM re-make, it's made by a company out of Philadelphia called Mitchell & Ness. All they do is re-make vintage jerseys (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) but they use the materials that were used when the jerseys were worn back in the day. Hence, my Ramage jersey has one of the old-school fight straps, and it's made with thick polyester (I think)...
If you're an e-bayer it's definitely worth checkin out, depending on the size you want you can probably pick something up for between 80-130 CDN (I paid $65 US and got free shipping). They have a lot of old teams (Scouts, ATL Flames, North Stars) and some older versions of current team unis (Flyers, Kings, Caps, Nucks, Pens to name a few)..
EDIT: If you do go with the CCM re-make of the Rockies uni though (which I think you can also get in white), be sure to stitch that bad boy w/ McDonald #9.

Nothing wrong with reppin the ATL in Calgary. It's not like Calgary's hurting because of Atlanta for any reason. I also want to buy a retro jersey this year.
Besides, look at the thing:

Nothing wrong with the Atlanta Flames jersey.
Some other choices off the top of my head, Mats Sundin Quebec Nordiques jersey would be pretty sweet (or Sakic).
Or a Dale Hawerchuk Winnipeg Jets jersey.

If you want a Whalers jersey, you will have to settle for a vintage (used) one on Ebay. They don't make new ones anymore like they do for the other defunct teams.

Nordiques, though frickin awesome in blue, is in the same boat, though not quite at Jets level. Whereas I dont recall ever seeing anyone walking around in a North Stars jersey, since this nostalgia fad caught on. If I saw someone in one I think that'd be damn cool.

You don't see many California Seals/ Golden Seals jerseys either. One thing that I have never seen in person is a Cleveland Barons jersey. That would be cool.

If you can get your hands on a Whalers jersey, go for it - especially the green ones. They're impossible to find since the NHL doesn't have the licensing rights to the Hartford Whalers.

I was always more a fan of their 90's bluish-green ones, with the grey stripe. But I guess the 80's greens have more of that "nostalgia" appeal to them.

Yes indeed. The only jerseys I would be buying now would be Vintage ones. Failing that if you think that the Flames are going to dramatically change jersey design in September and you would prefer the current one and you're worried about availability I would buy now as well.

I really doubt they will. The red one's only been around since 2003, and is a major hit it seems with the fans. As much as I'd like to see it changed(Im finally able to live with the black "C", but theres way too much black on the home jersey IMO), I really dont think it will happen.
