Default Evolution of Homer

Anyone watch Simpsons last night? Didn't catch it all, halfway through my kid came in and wanted to watch TV with me so I had to switch to something less harmful. But I did catch the opening, which I thought was quite enjoyable.

Yeah, I saw that.

I also thought the first half of Family Guy was hilarious (once they got into the restaurant part it sagged, but picked up at the transformer/wheelchair part again).

thats pretty funny!
I like the part when he runs into Moe. For some reason I expected more @ that part, but it's simplicity made it funny.

So the intro was goood, how was the actual episode? anyone know..

The erm.. "modified scarecrow" on Family guy was one of the funniest parts I have ever seen on that show.

I never noticed until watching that evolution again that every creature he encounters has the face of a Simpsons character. Neat.

Peter giving shocks had me laughing really hard. And him admitting tho Joe about his "45 minutes in the wheelchair" had me howling.

When Homer was about to blow out his candles on his cake and said "I wish for infinity hamburgers" I laughed pretty hard.

Yeah, one of the better Simpsons moments in a long time. Though the only moment that had me laughing outloud last night was on Family Guy with Tyra Banks.

And I didn't laugh at the gag. They really do cover the spectrum of humour (even if it is written by manatees)

That has to be one of my favorite Simpsons opening.

The episode itself had some funny bits but wasn't anything expectacular.

Family Guy, as always IMO was hilarious. I'm glad they brought this show back...if only they could bring back Futurama.

I do have a Simpsons related question. Since the movie is coming out this summer, does anyone know if this is the end of the Simpsons?
As much as I love this show I feel it's time is almost up and perhaps Matt Groenning should consider ending it.

sweet on futurama...

afaik, series like the simpsons go up and down based upon the quality of the writing... it seems like every few years they need to refresh the writing team.

so many great sound bites...

Ya that is sweet I heard about that the same time Family Guy came back. I hope there is lots of Zoidberg and Zap..

"And thats why you'll never make Captain Kip" omgawdz that was the funniest thing ever the first time I saw it.

"You are always welcome here at El Rancho Zoidberg!!" Classic.
