Government Interships in Calgary?

this is an idea I've floated around in my head for a few weeks now. I have to do an internship for the program I'm in, which is all well and good, I'm looking forward to it.

Calgary is a city I haven't spent a whole lot of time in, but would love to. I've been there twice and loved it each time (especially last time ), I'd love to spend a summer there to get to see and know the city.

My question is, what opportunities are there in Calgary for a summer internhip in government as the capital of Alberta is Edmonton, I've been doing some light research (ie: type intership, government, alberta/calgary into google).

Is anyone framiliar with any sites I could go to, or even any postings/opportunities? I'm pretty open as to what feild the internship would be in, just as long as it makes use of my public management/public policy background.

I'll be doing some more indepth searching next month, but I thought I'd ask while I sit in my chair trying to battle the flu.

Try the City of Calgary website if municipal politics floats your boat...tons of summer jobs there usually....not sure if data entry and filing is your thing though

I'm fairly certain the gov't of Alberta site would have some info for students and internships.
The City of Calgary's jobs are numerous, but lots are filing/data entry, like calf said. Though in the past I have seen summer positions posted that dealt with working with aldermen and others that involved work on special projects (these vary from year to year). If I recall correctly, these job postings aren't usually published until sometime in the new year.

A friend of mine's mom works as an Aldermanic Assistant, but while I'm not sure what all the summer positions in that capacity do (they vary by alderman), for this particular one the summer job consisted of writing letters on behalf of the alderman (replying to a constituent's concern). Maybe that helps jonny?

The Chamber of Commerce often has a summer policy student or 2, last year I think the gent was from Queens.
