Default Can anyone recommend a gas fitter for a small job (BBQ line?)

I need a gas line installed for my BBQ. Can anyone recommend a gas fitter who would do a small job like this... I believe the line can probably be run on the outside of the house from the meter, the run would be about 15'. I am in the SW, Cougar Ridge / West Springs area.

Any journeyman plumber can do the job since they are gas fitters as well.

I'm pretty sure the city doesn't allow it. I couldn't find an exact link, but I have seen it on their site that you must be a licensed gas fitter to apply for the permit.

I think if the run is under 20 feet you do not need a permit.

From the City of Calgary website: Homeowners are not allowed to do work in Calgary that involves natural gas, so permits for gas work must be applied for and the work done by a certified mechanical contractor. http://www.calgary.ca/portal/server....as+Permits.htm
