I was playing Xbox the other day (Madden 2005 to be specific) and I had to run upstairs for something so I left the system on and during that time my brother came home and picked my xbox up and moved it. Needless to say my Madden disc now has a pretty big circular scratch all the way around the outer circumference of it. The disc now freezes when I try to play a game.

My question is has this happened to anyone else? and if so have you been able to take it somewhere or purchase something that was able to fix the scratch so that it was possible to play normally again. I normally wouldn't bother you guys with this but I'm in love with the game however I really don't wanna drop another $50-60 on a new copy if it can be avoided.

Thanks for any possible help you guys can provide.

I think you can get CD cleaners that fix it at Future Shop or someplace like that.

Or, if he's your little brother, kick his ass and make him pay for the new game

I bought some stuff at London Drugs a few years ago that works wonders.

I think the brand was ASOP or something like that. Basically it's just a paste that you buff into the CD with a cloth they provide. I tested it out on a CD with actual gouges, not just scratches, and the CD now plays fine, even today. Good stuff. Should fix your problem.

Failing that, places like Video Game Traders will repair scratched CDs.
