Ouch.
Dont know what the Broncos have done to deserve this off-season, but this is really ugly.

He was competitive all preseason and actually played some in the regular season as well.
Good kid from all I've read. Sounds like another one of those undiagnosed heart ailments that seems to hit the sports world every couple of months or so.
Rough year for my Broncos so far.

According to SI, it was Damien Nash's brother (Darris) who has the heart ailment. They still don't know what happened to Damien.

Ewald said some cardiomyopathy conditions run in families. He said he never met Damien Nash, but "the fact that Damien was doing high-level athletics may indicate that was not the problem."

A tough break from teh Broncos, a tougher break for the Nash family.

They shafted Jake with some hack backup.
If this is the last we hear of this story, I would guess its likely some form of Steroid he was taking in the offseason to bulk up (no evidence just seems to be the norm with the NFL).
NFL Players have about another month, maybe two if they push it before they need to stop so recordable traces get flushed.

Players are tested all year round now IIRC.
No chance they have time allotted to do cycles of juice.

I think you are right, but it is only urine samples and I don't think it is possible to detect HGH or the designer drugs with anything but a blood test (which so far the NFLPA hasn't allowed).

not to mention their drug testing is a joke.
according to ricky williams, the only reason he was ever caught was because he wanted to be.

Yeah, it's probably that. I would just throw out the heart problems that run in his family.
