I don't know why everyone likes Venom so much. He's one of Spidey's most one dimensional and cliche'd villains in the canon.

I don't know what it is about Venom either, he's not even that creative of a villian, but I still like him. I think Rhino is my favorite.

that trailers been on ifilm for a few months now. I'm pretty pumped for Spiderman 3. The second one was better than the first, and I hope that's a sign of things to come.

Then why does ifilm have a big clock countdowning to the release of a new exclusive trailer in about 20 mins?

No Venom, but the symboit is the main focus... but may fall into one of the traps of the Batman franchise, being too many villians in a movie...

Damn that looks good, Mary Jane and Harry both find out that Peter is Spiderman. And it looks like Venom may not play much of a part in this movie, seems to be more about the black suit. Also in the credits Topher is listed as Eddie Brock and not a venom....

If your computer can handle it, load the super HD version via QuickTime.

Sounds like Spiderman 4 is just around the corner.

BTW, Topher Grace as Eddie Brock? It's been a while since I've read a comic book, but I remember Eddie Brock being a LOT bigger.

The trap of the Batman films wasn't the amount of villians, but how horrible they were, how horrible the movies were, how poorly acted they were, how cheesy they were etc etc etc...

Re: Venom.
I agree... something about him. I remember always loving comic books involving him.
A very compelling element to the character. Also glad this time it's Sandman.
Excellent choice for the actor to play him.

I agree. One thing about Spiderman flicks is that they are super hero movies that are actually well done.
80% of comic books movies are brutal is some way or many ways.

Just like shows like Curb your Enthusiasm and The Office have brought the importance of quality acting back to sitcoms, the Spiderman franchise has raised the bar on how to do super hero movies.

The only other comic book movie I really digged was Sin City. Can't wait for that sequel.
