Flames trade, Flames trade!

Flames hooked up with the Jets and made a trade late last night
here's the run down.
Flames send F Andrew Brunette, D Andreas Lilja along with our 4th round pick 2007 and the second round pick in 2008
for
Mike Ribeiro, Kurt Sauer and the first round jets pick in 2008.

Here are my thoughts on the deal.

Brunette is a solid player and while Ribeiro is younger, Brunette is still a better player imo. Lilja and Sauer are probably similar players but Sauer makes a pile of cash and by adding Biron earlier we needed to free alittle money up just in case something "bigger" comes along. The picks, its not easy moving a 1st round pick in next years draft at this point in time. I am hoping to land a couple a good players via trade and free agency and turn this Jet around. Only time will tell if the picks end up ruining this trade for me. Thanks to Axel for the negotiations.
