Located and watched 'despecialized' versions of 4 and 5 today. Ran out of time, will watch 6 tomorrow. I'm quite liking these versions. Though I'm no expert, I've only watched these movies about 6 times

So, the Ewoks weren't the second worst characters ever devised by George Lucas? That movie was the first of the Lucas sellouts, designed solely to sell toys to young kids.
I don't think any kids played with Ewoks. We were all like, "let's take our figures to the sandbox and pretend there is a Sarlac", or fight against the Rancor. There was no Ewok play. Maybe girls digged them.
