Have to think that some of the bands that are playing at Coachella this year will be playing at the Sasquatch festival as well, Rage Against The Machine and Willie Nelson would be two that i'm hoping for.

It's in the township of George in the state of Washington. It is often called the George Gorge in George, Washington. Funny name.

Look up George, WA in mapquest.com, maps.google.com, maps.yahoo.com, etc, and you basically have a great idea of where it is.

That line-up for bands sure is impressive. I have heard great things about seeing concerts at this venue, but have never been myself. Sounds like it would be a great time.

Ah lame. I was naive and got my hopes up thinking that it would be within reasonable driving distance.

It is, assuming you're in Calgary or Vancouver. About a 12 hr drive if I remember correctly. But then again, I drove there from Panorama. But its about 12 from Calgary anyway.

I'm glad this is a music festival, and not a Bigfoot convention. The thread title had me worried.

Yeah, it's actually only 900 km from Calgary to George, so going the speed limit and making a few stops would probably take you ~12 hours.

If you wanted to get there in 8 hours, I'm sure it would be quite possible. Not as far as it might seem.

I went last year, it was about an 11 hour drive. The lineup is pretty good this year but the only bands I won't be seeing at Coachella that I'd really still like to see are The Beastie Boys and The Hold Steady. It's a really nice venue though and it's a good weekend trip.

Ozzfest 2001 at the Gorge, easily the best show I have ever been to. The venue is unreal.
