I don't get it - baseball is the least physical major sport, but teams don't shake hands with each other at the end of a series?

Football players gather together and shake hands, etc at the end of a game, and as we all know, hockey players shake hands at the end of a series, why don't baseball teams?

Also as another complete aside, if the Sox finally manage to win a WS, does that mean that the Leafs aren't too far behind???

that's a good question you would think it would be the most sportsmen like thing to do. I was thinking the same after the sox yankee game. Ok Sox win and... next thing there going to there dressing rooms and that it.

They actually won the American League Championship Series...the world series is still to come vs the Cardinals

To answer your question: I don't know. But just this year when the Dodgers lost to the Astros, they came out and shook hands...only instance I can remember

Yeah I know the Sox haven't won, hence my use of the word "if" in my question.

And it was the Dodgers and Cards that shook hands; the Astros played the Braves in the NLDS.

I should really read every word, shouldn't I?

Yea, I wasn't too sure if it was the Astros or the Cards...so I took a guess...and went 0 for 2 in that post
