OMG, I jsut watched this on Sportsnet and it almost make me sick. Canadian Champion pairs skater Jessica Dube was hit in the face by her partner's skate doing a spin. Apparently nothing was broken, but by the amount of blood on the ice, she had her cheek split open pretty good. I hope that she recovers quickly.

I just saw a clip of this on TSN, it's quite disturbing. She is pretty darn lucky it didn't catch her eye.

Wow, it was very scary, we just saw it too.

Even scarier is the fact that we actually just saw her skate at the Cdn championships (gift to the wife for Christmas) here not too long ago.

This was all over the news down here last night as well. My wife was a competitive skater until she was 14 and didn't enjoy the thought at all.
