I freaking love that album, it's a pretty blatant homage(ripoff) to zeppelin, deep purple, sabbath, uriah heep, but dangs if it doesn't flat out rock.

Wolfmother will be in Calgry next weekend. I saw them on Conan and was impressed. It might be worth checking out.

Unfortunately the Wolfmother show is sold out. It is a good album. I might have to go actually buy a copy.

Dio is touring with the Black Sabbath members that are not named Ozzy. They are going by the name "Heaven and Hell". They are in Calgary on March 14th with Megadeth and some other band I've never heard of. I don't know if that one is sold out.

'heaven and hell' i think is the name of the first black sabbath album sans ozzy, and it is absolute gash.

they have their old songs from the old days and that's that - like many bands living off their old reputations, reappearing when they run out of drug money.

that "other" band is Down, and though you may not know the name you should know some of the members (Philip Anselmo from Pantera and Pepper Keenan from Corrosion of Conformity)
