Surprise, Surprise the Pens lose a star player to injury. Koivu goes down in the 2nd period and is gone for 5 or 6 games, doesn't look like my other injuries are healing up anytime soon as the con ratings are barely moving each day. It is at the point now that I check the game notes to see who is injured before I check to see who scored. Even game with the Sabres as the shots were 33 a piece, score ends up 3-3.

Win one, lose one seems to be the trend in FLorida these days. With the Habs going on a big win streak, they have taken over 1st place in the CPHL.

Wild Crush Jets!
Well I wasn't expecting to win but this is just sad. At least Allison picked up another point. Maybe Hedberg needs a rest after 14 straight starts for the Jets.

yep very even game. sorry about the injury. our forward depth is down also, and losing Lombardi of all people for the rest of the night didn't help

Wow what a crap weekend. Flames suck, I suck, and my CPHL team sucks. Should have just worked instead or something.

Yikes, terrible weekend for the Leafs. A 5-1 loss to the Nords today, following a 4-0 defeat to the Yotes on Saturday.
Both games had the story... Leafs outshoot the opponent by a pretty good margin but can't finish, and Lundqvist can't stop the puck either.

Big win for the Avs...great game for Thibault. Hopefully the Avs will get back on track with this performance.

Canadiens come out with another solid effort and send the opposition's goalie to the showers early for the 4th time in 5 games. Strong overall game from the ranks with 6 players getting 2 points (Jovo, Fischer, Madden, Timonen, Tkachuk and Lehtinen) and Alfredsson, Federov and Forsberg all getting a point. Vokoun turned aside 17 of the 19 shots.

Thrashers continue their solid ways with their 4th straight win. St.Louis get a slight injury. Walker, Horcoff and Bouchard were all out with injuries. Walker will be back in the lineup as he is now 100%. Horcoff and St.Louis will rest up on the 2 day break and should be ready to go in 2 days.

History!!!
The Nordique have tied their franchise point output of last season with their win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This year's team has 2 more victories than last year's club, while so far scoring a whopping 45 less goals than last years complete season. This year's so far is 100 goals given up behind last year's squad as well.
"We can't even concern ourselves with that at this point." rejoiced GM Prottotype. "We have 13 points to make up in our conference. Can it be done? Probably not, but we're gonna give it a shot none the less."
Last Year's Team:

This Year's Team:
http://cphl.calgarypuck.com/rosters/que.htm
"We're happy with this roster no matter the outcome of this season. Our goaltending has improved, our D has improved, and our forwards have improved. This team has nowhere to go but to keep going up."

BOO!
On a night where the Coyotes could have jumped back into a playoff position with a win they crapped the bed instead. The Habs are playing well but they are beatable...well maybe not.
Today is a day off then a HUGE game VS the Jackets on Tuesday.

Scoring Winger
|
The Flood Gates have opened
Oil offense is clicking
Jeff Carter with the hat trick and 4 points, Elias with 4, and Samsonov with 4.
Brodeur was himself collecting his 35th win on the season.
Carter is having a great season with 64 points in 64 games.
