Pens offense finally awakens after a long nap. Vybourny looks great in a Pens Uniform with a 2 point +3 effort, he has recorded multiple points in every game since joining the team. Spezza buries 2 goals and many players have multipoint games. No surprise that the Pens win this game because they were away from home. Pens are becoming the road warriors this season.

Jackets take the game of the week 5-1. Manny Legace with a solid game stopping 30 of 31 shots and being named 2nd star. Eric Cole had 2 goals and an assist and Peter Cajanek with a goal and 2 assists lead the offence. Dave Scatchard and Mark Streit also added power play goals. The Jackets held period leads of 2-0 and 4-0 and built up a 5-0 lead before Eric Lindros cracked Legace with 4:25 left in the game. Power play was 2-6 and the PK was 6-6. Outside of giving up too many shots it was a pretty solid all around effort.

With the win we jump past Phoenix into 9th place tied in points with the 8th place Predators, and 1 point back of Vancouver. Steve Rucchin suffered a minor injury in his first game with the Jackets its expected that he'll miss at least 1 game and maybe as many as 3.

Jets Double Stars!

The Winnipeg Jets got 2 goals from Denis Arkhipov and Sami Kapanen to defeat the Stars 4-2. Mike Ribeiro chipped in with 3 assists. Johan Hedberg made 22 saves, he continues to play very well since arriving in Winnipeg.

Rangers 4 - Capitals 3

Rangers knew this was going to be tough physical game, the game was close and the Rangers were able to win this one. MacT is still giving both goalie equal playing time. If the pattern remains consistant Osgood will rest tonight and play tomorrow. MacT was asked if Jason Williams would play tonight. The answer was "no comment"

MacT was also asked if the Rangers intentially went after Chara after Williams was gooned. MacT only smiled and said you decide.....
