Default Tiling (Part 2)

So I've been working on tiling our entry and kitchen. I'm pretty much finished laying all the full pieces and will be starting my cuts and angles soon. Turns out that I don't think my walls are square. I did my lines on the plywood to get everything right but as I've been tiling it's been getting further and further from the wall. Kind of a peave off after all this work. For the length of the wall (guessing it's about 15 feet it comes out about 3/4" from the wall at the end. I should be able to cover it up with baseboard and quarter round but still it's frustrating. Hopefully by the weekend I'll get the cuts and angles done. Then it's time for groat.

For grout, I have a wicked product to recommend. It is called Epoxy Grout. Northlands Construction carries it.

Basically, it is a really strong and impermeable grout. Generally, it is used only in industrial application such as swimming pools. But, it is awesome for residential also; it never needs sealing, never changes color, and will never absorb anything. It is totally zero maintenence. It can be ordered in a wide variety of colors.

The downside is that it is expensive. It is about $25 / Liter. Also, it is harder to apply; it is more corrosive than normal and also dries much faster. You have to be quick.

Unfortunately with most walls they aren't square (watch holmes on holmes if you want more proof of that)

Anyway, its best that you hid the imperfections caused by this in the least visible area possible (on a side wall or under a cabinet etc so that way it doesn't look really wierd.
