Ouch, a costly win for the Devils: Khabibulin is out Day-to-Day after Toni "The Goon" Lydman injured him in today's Stars/Devils tilt. We'll hope he's not out for too long.

Well GM gaffes and doesn't even realize he played and didn't send in lines. Not that it makes much differnce when your team allows less than 20 shots and still loses 5-4. Fatal loss that pretty much kills any faint playoff hopes we had left.

Johan Holmqvist collects his first victory since being called up from the AHL in his third start. Holmqvist has been solid in his first three games played despite his 1-3 record.

Svatos with a 3-point game and Derek Roy with the late game heroics to clinch the victory.

Three straight games now the Isles have allowed 30+ shots... need to address this if we expect to win any more games.

Pens get rare home win; Beat the Dogs 5-3

The Dogs weren't welcome in the Igloo on this day!
Olaf Kolzig returned to the cage but looked shakey despite getting the win on Sunday afternoon. Kolzig stopped just 14-17 shots as the top line exploded in a 5-3 win. Jason spezza continued his strong play with 3 assists and linemates Koivu and Dumont added 2 points each. Defensemen Andrei Markov and Sergei Gonchar also added 2 points a piece. The Pens are back in action on Monday against the Flames.

The Bruins bite the Avs for the second time in a week. Ugly game for the Avs, but not as ugly as Albany's 20-0 loss to Providence. Ouch...

Big win for the Blues as they outlast the Canucks in OT. Sid the kid has a goal, and Big Bad Bert nets 2 and the game winner to stop the losing skid. Hasek once again is on his game as he's now 18-13-2 on a team with a losing record. Can the Blues straighten out their sinking ship?

Thrashers have showed some heart the last two games and get a much needed win. The captain Forsberg was huge in the win over the Wild today. Up next is a game tomorrow vs the Kings.

Conklin gives Jets 2nd shutout of the year!

Nik Dimitrakos scored his 6th goal of the year midway through the first period and it was enough offence as the Jets beat the Laffs 1-0.

Conks made 32 saves and outplayed King Henrik who made just 15 saves.

Mike Ribeiro and Sami Kapanen have been held off the score sheet as of late and maybe split up for the next game.

Yea, being tied in points for 8th place and only 6 points out of 4th in the conference. Then you add in that there is only like 32 games left in the season. Your done like dinner.

First loss since the changes in Quebec. Looks like more tinkering is needed.

Canucks stink it up and lose in OT. Yes, we get the point, but we wanted too. Bright side - Rory Fitzpatrick scored!!!!

A rare win for LA after a slew of ties. Strange this is that the win actually came at home which was surprising!

The Hawks rolled over the Habs today in Montreal. Johnny Oduya had a visit from the rerate fairy in the middle of the night lastnight. Not that he really minded having 50s across the board. But the fairy visit was a much anticipated suprise. You never know what those middle of the night fairies will bring you. Oduya's gift one that the entire team was looking forward to. So everyone was was on a high note in the lockerroom anticipating the game. And Oduya did not disappoint, collecting 2 assists in todays tilt.

The scorers scored, the defenders defended and Burke kept house.

Caps snap Oil unbeaten streak at 14

Iggy nets two, Samsanov adds another, but the loss of Mr. Regehr for the third period seemed to put the Snapple streak to a halt. Caps out shot the Oil 38 – 29 including 15 shots in the third.

Vinny returned to the Oil line-up after medical clearance from his outer body injury logging 8 minutes.

A new unbeaten streak starts with the Nords tomorrow

Yotes drop 2nd in a row 5-3 to the Pens.

There is a weird phenomenon surrounding Phoenix right now. Even with Friday and Saturday as rest days Jagr, Neil & Joseph could not heal up from their 98 CD ratings, not even one point....Doh!

At least we still cling onto 8th in the west.

The Flyers roll into Arizona for a game Monday evening.

Lightning 7 - Rangers 3

Ouch.... Rangers have a tough time with those Lightning.... After the game the Rangers organization knew they had to find another depth Center since Tim Connolly is now gone for 1 to 2 weeks. With that Flambers made a trade to acquire Adams and McCammond. This should help for the next little while...

‘Canes clutch their way to a victory

Jeff “The Goal Scorer” Friesen scores two minutes into the opening period as the Hurricanes grind the game to a halt and wait out the 1-0 win. David Aebischer picked up his second shut out of the season as the ‘Canes were able to hold the visiting Flames to only 22 shots. Hurricanes start centerman David Legwand was injured late in the 1st period as he took a cheap hit from Darren McCarty. McCarty blindsided Legwand from behind propelling him face first into the boards wrenching his back. Legwand was sent to the hospital for safety precautions and is expect to be out of the lineup for 3 weeks.
