Nice win for the Thrashers against a good Hawks team. Denis was strong in goal and top forwards in Walker, Forsberg, Horcoff, Smolinski, Elias contributed offensively.

Olli Jokinen ate his Wheaties this morning

O Jokinen scored both goals for the Hawks in the 3-2 OT loss.

Jokinen also gave the Thrash the PP in overtime which lead to Thrasher Smolinski's game winning PP goal.

O Jo was the hero and the goat.

No dessert tonight.

Gerber stands on his head enough to get the Pens a big win. The style of play in Pittsburgh has switched from an all out attack to a defensive game lately. Hopefully we can play .500 hockey until we get Spez and Koivu back and stay in the race for the top four in the conference. Tough game tommorow against the Flames who lost 6 straight, the Flames are due and gona come out desperate tommorow, I don't like this matchup one bit.

Senators come up with a 2nd straight win vs the Oilers.!!!

I never would I have thought we would have taken 2 straight games from this Western powerhouse.

This time it was the 2nd line that stole the show. Zednick gets 3 goals and 1 assist and was named the games 1st star.

Staal with a goal and assist while Pavelski got 2 assists on the game.
Schaefer gets the win as well. his first as a Senator and is currently 8-1-1 this year.

Next up the Ducks.

Good News: Nords put one back into the win column. Rico Fata finds his scoring touch again with 2 assists.

Bad News: Bonk and Vorobiev see more ice time on paper, see more of the sick bay by the end of the game.

Tight game - Habs fall 1-0 to the Kings - rematch on Sunday Habs will welcome Alfredsson back into the line-up.
With the league leaders falling to the Ducks, the Habs miss out on an opportunity to take over the top spot in the CPHL. Meanwhile the Hurricanes win and the Avs keep their streak alive. 3 teams ( Habs, 'Canes and Capitals) within 3 points of the top, 3 more (Caps, Oil and Hawks) with 5 points of #1. Things are pretty close near the top.

Tough loss as we get almost double the shots on goal of our opponent but can't score any goals. Yeah, we suck.
