Martin Biron commits to the Canadian west...

(Vancouver) AP - The Vancouver Canucks organization is proud to announce the re-signing of goaltender Martin Biron. In a late afternoon press conference GM Mango said, “Martin is one piece of our puzzle. He is such an important member of our team and we will continue to build around him. Signing him to a contract extention was our biggest priority this season. Coach Tippett and I have had long discussions on the future of this team and we both agreed that Martin Biron is where this team ends and where this team begins."

Many thanks to Mr. Biron and his agent, Suneil Khakh, for the positive and speedy negotiation process. Our organization hopes to deal with Mr. Khakh in the future.

Was part of the new contract that Marty only would have to face 8 shots a night?

To think the stupid NHL Oilers could have had him for a second round pick last year. Instead they trade a first for Roloson and than pay Roloson more than Kiprusoff. IDIOTS!!!
