Default Pens welcome back Jason Spezza!!

When asked the intresting question the oither day about who would the Pens have drafted 1st overall in the 2001 entry draft, GM Goffie had an easy answer, "I want both Kovalchuk and Spezza" and with that the GM went out and made an offer to reunite the 1st and 2nd overall picks in the class of 2001. The Pens are very sad to see Patrick Marleau leave the team without suiting up but thinks the combination of Spezza and Kovalchuk will be dynamite. The Pens also wanted to add another top forward in the mix so they brought in Marcel Goc in a deal with the Dallas stars.

The Pens now consisits of 5 forwards drafted in the 1st round of the 2001 NHL entry draft: Kovalchuk, Spezza, Sjostrom, Goc, and Perezhogin...With the wealth of young talent up front mixed in with solid veterans the Pens plan to be a very dangerous team for years to come.

Alot of sign and trades happening. My client is not too pleased with that situation. Spezza was looking forward to playing with the Hawks. However is is pleased to suit up with the Pens.(that is if he stays long enough to even get his locker stall )

Don't worry Spezza is a part of the Pens master plan of CPHL domination for years to come, and will be here a long time unless something drastic happens

The over/under on the Pens trading Spezza has been set at Sept 30, 2006.

I really did mean to keep Spezza!! You know, Goffie was relentless! It was late, I was tired, and he was begging so pathetically. I felt bad for him.

But we think the Hawks are a better team today with the return of Martain Erat along with Marleau.

It is all Goffie's fault. Well and Spezza throwing Gonchar overboard. That sort of nailed his coffin.

I advise you to remember this next time you deal with any of your players whom are on Becky's payroll Marty. Don't cut any deals or favours for her!! She's lied to you once, she'll do it again!!!

For a minute I thought I had traded Goc to Dallas and forgot about it.
