Jeff Garica Lights it up In Philly
Whata Game...wow. Philly comes back from a 10 pt Deficit in the 4th to win by 3, 27-24. Garica had his best game in years, threw well over 300 yards.
Great to see a former Stamp doing well agian, such a good QB while he was here.

Atta boy Jeff! Great fantasy numbers too. I still can't believe the Philly fans booing for keeping him in and calling for Feely. He took some huge hits too. Can't wait to hear his victory speech on Mike Richards tomorrow.

Philly fans will be Philly fans, I choose to love them for it. How bout those two dudes with no shirts on for the entire game? I know it's like -6, but that's still cold on the nipples.

C- town got some air time too. "This would be a warm day in Calgary." Classic! At least they got the bio right and mentioned him as Grey Cup MVP. I've been hoping for a McNabb injury all season. Didn't think it would happen though. I just hope he keeps it up because I still thing he could start somewhere in this league.

Yep, it was good to see Calgary get mentioned; including the correct Stamps graphics when showing his time here.
It was also nice to see him have that kind of game when everybody in my fantasy league laughed at me for starting him.

I have a couple buddies who are HUGE Eagles fans, and when I told them on Saturday night that Jeff was going to light it up, they just laughed at me. They wanted to beleive me, but they just couldn't. Kept saying he was too short, too small, not good enough
Way to show 'em Jeff!!! Those two consecutive hits he took would've kept most men his size down. But he gets up, waves Freely off and gets BOOOOO'd by the home fans
Man, Philly fans are a tough crowd

Wow, I think I hate you. That's a horrible thing to wish for.
I will say though, McNabb being injured has forced this team to run more, which might turn out to be a good thing. Garcia had a lot of near-interceptions, which scared me, but those long connections certainly make up for them. Finally, a good, competitive Monday Night Game! Hurrah!

lol, awesome, great game last night, was very happy to see the Panthers lose! Garcia played very well, but Delhomme absolutely gave that game away, two brutal interceptions again, gotta love it

Good game. The thing about those interceptions, I always wonder how many should be pinned on the receiver. As they showed on that one graphic of Garcia - he was leading his guy by 23 yards. If the receiver makes the wrong cut the QB looks like an ass.

Great game by Garcia. This might be his last chance to prove he's worthy of a starting position on another club. Who knows, he might lead the Eagles to the playoffs and maybe a shopt at the Superbowl.

At least they didn't start pelting Garcia with Snowballs like they did to Santa Clause. Although, had there been snow present they probably would have.

What a dump of a bunch of fans - yes McNabb - the promise land leader - what a fricken joke, that guy has about as much chance of winning a Superbowl as Vick has of not giving you the finger - NONE.
Garcia gets up, doesnt bitch about injury and is still booed - classic classy Philly fans - umm hello, your Dumptruck route is calling for you.

Yes because 4 straight NFC championships and losing the Super Bowl by 3 points is "No chance."

Philadelphia consistantly sells out the majority (if not every) of games for all 4 of their pro franchises. They may be a little rough around the edges but you'll be hard pressed to find more dedicated fans in any city.

I'm an eagles fan also and I don't think they are goin anywhere this year. If there offense doesn't play well it puts too much pressure on their bend but don't break defense. It's been that way for the past 3 years. Garcia isn't good enough to put up points against defenses like the bears and cowboys, and Westbrook isn't a bruising back that can overcome that. Unfortunately Philly is a 1-dimensional team, and until they get an allstar offense or fire Jim Johnson/change their defensive scheme, they won't go very far.

Agree with poster above.
But. Like mentioned in previous post, losing McNabb forces Reid to call more runs, which hopefully will give confidence to the run game. The secondary is still good. Ultimately, the run-defense will cause them to miss the playoffs -- not the QB/offense. That Jacksonville game was so brutal, exposing the Run-D, and teams are picking up on that.

I just don't think the Eagle defense has been very good this year. They still blitz like crazy but they don't seem to wrap up players like in past. They are in the bottom half of the league in takeaways, and one of the bottom teams in rush defense.
I think Garcia will do fine. While McNabb seemed to want to become a pocket passer, Garcia is still willing to run and is quick enough to scramble for a couple first downs a game.
Is Buckhalter big enough to be a power back? I Eagles have always seemed to be missing that aspect of their game.

There's very little possibility of this happening, but could you imagine the QB controversy in Philly if Garcia took this team to a championship?
