So it looks like my fridge stopped working some time today. Anyone have any recommendations for a repair place?

Those 4 should be able to get out to you. Unfortunatley the average wait time is about 1-2 weeks. Most places leave some spots open for downed fridges and freezers... so try calling around to all 4 and see whats open.

Yeah..its bad right now. I'd love to be a technician with the demand they're in.

How old is the fridge?

Once your old fridge hits about 12 years and it has a compressor malfunction, you're better off just to scrap it and buy new. A new compressor runs anywhere from $250-$450 and the labour to install it could be about $150-$200.

Well if its indeed only 6 years its worth looking into repair. You could call Whirlpool Canada, give them your model# and serial# and they should be able to look up how old it is.
