Obama Campaign is Crashing and Burning
He will call up the "Canadian President" and renegotiate the free trade agreement.
Sheesh! Good thing for us the line will be dead!
To bad for the guy. I liked him, but he is slipping faster and faster down the slope to oblivian.

Yeah, sad really.
But its not like Hillary is doing any better. First she'll take nukes off the table...then she won't rule out using nukes. Which is it?
I think Obamas inexperience is really coming to the fore-front. Especially with his 'military action against Pakistan' comment. Too bad...if Hillary wins the primaries...the Republicans win the election.

He should have waited 4 years at least.. I was disappointed when it started to look like he was going to campaign.

A gaffe for sure, but George W. Bush referring to Canadian Prime Minister "Jean Poutine" didn't prevent him from winning the Republican nomination and being elected president.
Twice.

Yeah, I think that the only ones who will notice are the Canadians, and not many here get to vote anyway!

If this isn't decided soon, how will we know who to vote for in 2012 by 2008?

No kidding. I'd wager a large minority of Americans couldnt tell you if Canada has a President or a Prime Minister in the first place. A slipup such as this won't resonate.

Maybe it was a nice way of calling him a big stupid potato head without being rude.

He ahs made 2 now. 1 really big one and another one that, if he make a comeback, Clinton will nail him with.
Another nail...too bad. I like the guy but he has gone from genuine to quotable and it will cost him. Clinton cannot have this guy on her card if she wants to win.

This is ridiculous. The Pakistan thing, whatever, but this "gaffe" is, for lack of a better term, nothing. It doesn't mean anything. At all.
The current sitting, two term President mis-speaks all the time. They write books about it ferchrissakes. I have a goddamn talking George Bush doll that does nothing but spout some of the dumb things he's said over the years. Things a lot dumber than this.
I don't know if this guy is going to be President, but if he's not, I seriously doubt anyone in that country is going to say "well, the American people just couldn't in good conscious vote for a guy who said Canada has a President".
Nail in the coffin indeed.

Yeah, whatever. A reporter from a television network you don't know, yells a question at you in a busy scrum, you respond. Nowhere near the gaffe Obama made.

Yeah but GWB has made a living off of dumb ass remarks.
You know, this does irritate me, even though it is a minor mistake. If GWB said it i'd be all over him...Obama wants to be President, he should be up to speed with world leaders, especially those on his own continent. And it displays the usual ignorance towards Canada that we always seem to get from our American neighbours.

Obama made a gaffe that pretty well every American has made, and the vast majority continue to make. Americans know little about Canada (or Canadia as some are prone to call it) and really don't care to learn anything about it. This is a spec of fly crap on the big picture and is like Canadians not knowing the sitting govenor in Arizona. My, what a outrage!

Not a big deal. Still, I wouldn't want someone so inexperienced getting a shot at the presidency. Maybe in four or eight years, he'll be the perfect candidate.

How does this lose him votes? Few Yanks know the difference, or care.
He's better than Clinton. My buddy, Warren Buffett, supports him. That's a great endorsement.

Well at least now I know I am not going to vote for him definitely a decisive issue in this campaign. Who accidentally calls the PM of Canada a President first loses; I think it cost Johnson a second term.
