Good - Lucky Number Slevin, Clerks II, Talladega Nights, Thank You For Smoking

Bad - Nacho Libre

Undecided - Mission Impossible III...it actually had me interested and enjoying it for much of the movie, right up until the CPR scene. That one scene kind of threw away the respect I had gained for a movie I had low hopes for.

edit: adding movies as I remember them (or see them when other people mention them)

No, knew what to expect with Chapelle. Maybe Chapelle and Royale weren't the worst movies of 2006, but I personally didn't like them too much.

To each their own I guess

Best - Letters From Iwo Jima, United 93, World Trade Center, Borat, The Departed, Lucky Number Slevin, MI:III

I didn't really see too many movie I hated. In fact, I can't even name a movie that I saw this year which belongs on the worst list.

Hands down best movie was Blood Diamond
2. The Departed
3. Borat
4. Clerks 2
5. Lucky Number Slevin
6. Superman Returns
7. MI3
8. World Trade Center
9. The Break Up....sshhhhh... I liked it.
10. Casino Royale

Worst Movies of the Year
1. Talladega Nights.........just wasn't funny
2. Ultraviolet
3. Lady in the Water...and this is from a huge Shyamalan fan
4. The Benchwarmers

And most disappointing has to be Da Vinci Code....Im not gonna put it on my worst list, because I didnt think it was absolute ****, but I was so pumped for this movie and it was a let down.

I thoroughly enjoyed Clerks II , and it's probably Kevin Smith's best movie to date, but I'm still not certain that qualifies it as one of the best movies of the year. Certainly, it was my favourite movie of the year.

Nothing really stood out at me as being truly exceptional this year. That much is clear to me as I started thinking back trying to name movies for this thread.

Smartass....hah.....you're in luck though, Travolta wasn't in a movie in 2006.

The only movies that stand out for me are MI3 and Superman Returns, and they stand out because they were incredibly bad. So cookie-cutter and predictable.

This's the only flick I've seen that has been mentioned in this thread (Like fotze, I'm kidbound). I really liked the first Pirates movie, but the second one just didn't compare.

In reading through this thread, it just occurred to me I probably haven't been to a movie theatre even once in 2006!!!

I've heard they're doing movies in colour these days and I think that would be pretty fabulous to see.
