Default MDG Laptops

Does anyone have any experience with MDG laptops? How are the quality/service compared to other companies/stores?

thanks

Never purchase anything from MDG. Any reputable person will give you that advice. They are one of if not the worst computer companies in Canada. The redflagdeals.ca forums are full of horror stories.

This cannot be said too many times. Stay away from MDG.

Hey if its good enought for Steve Nash - surely its good enought for the the OP?

Sorry, had to say that - I have lost so much respect for Nash after he did those MVP system commercials - what a joke.

Dont buy MDG - they are a joke.

Say no to MDG.

Dell is the way to go. You'll always get a deal there. Compare the specs of a build at Dell to something at Futureshop or anywhere in town, and you'll find yourself saving quite a bit.

Ayrahb you might as well hand us the money to buy some beers and it'd be a better use than blowing it on anything that comes out of MDG's doors

If you want to experience Apple, you can buy the Dell laptops right now as the hardware is compatible and natively run OS X on it as well. I have that setup on my Inspiron 6400.

Didn't MDG use to be the Buck-a-Day company, with the fantastically bad commercials?

I'll personally stick with HP. I have a few friends that have MDG laptops and I haven't exactly heard them rave about them. Though to be fair I haven't really heard anything bad either. Still, try HP, I've had nothing but success with those guys in the past.

I've heard some bad things about MDG laptops. I would avoid them if you can.

In any case, almost 90% of laptops made in the world all come from only like 6 Taiwanese companies.

The thing with MDG though, is they often take shady OEM parts or give you refurbished stuff without telling you, then they have crap service, charge exhoribitant service fees, and then charge a whole lot of expensive crap on you when your stuff breaks since it was broken to be begin with.
