Interesting deal, looking quickly at the players changing teams, Sunil gets more scoring a good dman but until the Stars find a tender I don't know what to expect of them. Axel got some good players in return, probably an even trade.

I think Mike's comments are bang on. Its a good deal for both sides, but what Dallas needs to make any sort of deep push is a better goalie, and with this deal they now have less ammo to go out and get that without creating a different hole in their lineup.

I am seeing myself falling in the standings, I needed to make the deal. I have not a whole lot in the system but I will not give up Staal and didn't want to move any roster guys.

Stars win this deal for this season without a doubt, but longterm I think the Flames will be big winners on this deal. If even one of the 3 prospects develop to their potential I think the Flames make out good. Good deal for both teams as the Stars need to bolster their lineup for this season, and the Flames are rebuilding. I agree with Mike though, the Stars will need an upgrade in net either in the starter role or a very good backup who can take some pressure of Weekes before they will be a serious contender.

Well for what Axel wants to do with his team, I think this is a very good deal for him. He gets two decent capable CPHL players for right now and three live young assets that he can either keep or flip for veteran help in the offseason. All this for two very aging, declining and expensive assets. But these two do help Dallas right now without question. Can Sunhil find a way to parlay these extra CPHL pieces into some help in net?

Axel wins this deal hands down. Very lopsided IMO! We can talk all day long about who wins this year and who wins next year but the bottom line is that the players that Axel are getting is worth more in the CPHL right now.
I sure wouldn't want Adam Foote who makes $10mill! I don't care what he is rated. Becuase his contract is so silly it brings his value down a ton, not to mention he doesnt have a whole lot of value anyways.
Good job Axel...you finally won a trade...

Ok Sunil, I haven't made a peep until now but this was the last straw. What are you doing to my beloved Stars?
IMO, and remember this is just MY opinion, you've taken this team from a below average team with a great future ahead of it to an average team now with no future what-so-ever. Granted, I certainly made some bad moves myself, and a couple of the moves you've made have been solid, but I really don't agree with your whole strategy here. I could be completely wrong here, and I'm sure my opinion is not held in the highest regard with you but I had to say something after watching you trade away pretty much every asset I worked so hard on getting, LOL.
Anyways, good luck with the rest of the season and I hope all this pays off for you with atleast a playoff berth. I also hope, for the Dallas Stars sake, that I'm completely wrong and you have made this team into a contender now...just don't see it from here (Mind you, I am half way around the world. Maybe it looks better from there)
Sorry to barge in somewhere I no longer belong, but I can't help but keep track of the goings on of my former team, lol. It's still a great league!!!

And in this conference with so many teams rebuilding that is a good plan.
