A nice precursor to the Oscar, although Best Musical or Comedy category always makes me giggle.

Leonardo DiCaprio nominated for both Blood Diamond and The Departed, certainly deserves it for The Departed, haven't seen Blood Diamond yet. Johnny Depp and Sasha Baron Cohen up for best actor in Musical or Comedy catagory, never though I'd see Johnny Depp and Ali G up for the same award.

Steve Carrell and Jason Lee among the best actor for a TV series Globe.. suprised John Krasinski or Rainn Wilson weren't up as well or Alex Baldwin. Ditto for Jenna Fisher.

Anyone seen that Thank You for Smoking Movie? I keep picking it up at the video gallery, but have yet to take it home.

I really enjoyed it, thought it was a little slow at times, but a very good movie. Fantastic cast as well. My guess is Little Miss Sunshine or Thank you for Smoking are the favourites for that award. Haven't seen Dreamgirls or The Devil wears Prada though, probably won't.

BY FAR the best movie I saw this year was Thank You for Smoking....Aaron Eckhart really deserves this award, as well as an Oscar.

Stranger than Fiction (which there was a thread for posted last week) and Little Miss Sunshine are also quiet great.

I watched it on a plane. probably only time in my life i was on a plane thinking "cool, I actually want to watch this movie"
