You can sue for that??
A lot of guys are in trouble now...
Quote:
Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick is being sued for $6.3 million by a 17-year-old girl who claims Vick deceitfully professed his love to her so she would continue to have sex with him.

Setting aside the fact that she may or may not have a legitimate beef given their ages, the reason given above is about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard someone sue something for.

How in the hell can that even be proven in court. That seems more like a matter to be solved by a angry father or brother and not the courts.

Okay what the hell.
Quote:
Vick was convicted two years ago of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and the suit identifies the Christiansburg girl as the minor involved in the January 2004 incident that led to the charge.
|
Quote:
the sexual relationship that began in January 2004 continued through December 2005, long after Vick's September 2004 conviction.
|
So she charges him with delinquency, then continues to sleep with him, and now is sueing him because he is not sleeping with her. Wow her mood swings take on the form of legal action, can't she just make him sleep on the couch?

Love: A term that should only be using in tennis or when the room has already been paid for.
(but don't tell my wife I said that)

If he wasn't famous through his brother and making more then the average joe this wouldn't be an issue. Nothing but a fishing expedition. In the US why not try because if you get the right loopy judge you might win something.

He would have been charge by the police for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Most likely for giving the girls booze. She didn't charge him with it if I am reading that correctly.

You're probably correct, but wouldn't she have had to help the police? Saying she was there and that she was given alcohol?

It depends on what kind of evidence the police had. According to the story, he was charged along with 2 other players for giving alcohol to 3 girls. All it would take is for one of the girls to go to the police for them to investigate.

I know there are legal cases even back from the 1920s that I've read that are sort of like this. Like a verbal promise of love or a promise of marriage was ruled as some kind of breech of contract and emotional or loss of income damages awarded.
You can sue for many insane relationship things that result in emotional trauma or loss of companionship or resulting depression resulting in loss of future income or some other non-pecuniary ****. If you really want to get back at a member of the opposite sex, you could go really far with that if you are an absolute heartless *******.

You always gotta pay. Sometimes with cash. Sometimes with a diamond ring and a 4 bedroom bungalow in the suburbs. But make no mistake, you gotta pay.
