Calgary Air Quality

I know we are having a chinook right now, and there have been times in the past where the air quality has been worse than this, but I have noticed Calgary's smog problem is getting quite bad. I noticed it a ton this summer when seeing the mountains clearly was rare, you could attribute some of this to fires but I think it's becoming a problem more and more.

This is obviously becuase of the growth that we've been experiencing, and I know southern ontario and different areas in the USA are way worse, but is anyone as alarmed as I am.

I think Calgary is losing a lot of it's charm that it used to have. It's getting dirtier all the time. Is it just me?

I was going to go take some pictures of downtown today... but no dice.. I don't want smog-shots... it was really gross today.

eh, for calgary's population and traffic i find the air quite decent, it's the wind obviously, when compared to other cities of similar population.

once in a while it isn't too great but honestly, it's miles ahead of prince george, population 70,000 MAYBE.

One of my biggest reasons for deciding to live on the west edge of the city. Even when going to my friends place in Mountview there have been days where I get out of my car and the air just reeks.
