Is there a place like Nutters in Calgary?

I have been trying to find strawberry extract for some sugar cookies that I am going to make but the only place I have ever found it was at Nutters Bulk supplies. Calgary doesn't have a Nutters. Does anyone know a place where I could get such a thing?

Ahhhh I sense a transplanted Medicine Hatter here.......

Sorry mate - don't know if there is a Nutters doppelganger up here but there are generally really good bulk sections at Co-Ops...either that or maybe call some health stores and see if they might have the extract you seek.

I was looking for dried cherries today. You think I could find some? Not a chance. I wonder what the bulk section at Superstore looks like? Remember the giant jawbreakers they used to have? I miss Nutters.

the last time I saw a Nutters, I was in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

It may be a small town store....and I think that usually is the only place they operate....but at least you can get good stuff there.....bot like these big box stores that sell the exact same thing as the next store.

Thanks tiger for the info about Okotoks....not sure if I feel like driving all the way out there for some extract. Maybe tho.

There's a building somewhere in that industrial park area down along Blackfoot that has a Nutters sign on it, but it looked to me like a distribution center or something, not an actual store. One place you might try is the cookbook store on 11th Ave SW and about 7th street -- they don't have any bulk product, but they do have a lot of unusual specialty stuff, including some extracts and such. Might be more expensive than a Nutters-type place would be, though.

Too bad there's no Bulk Barns in Calgary. I suspect that Nutters is kind of like that. Bulk Barns are pretty awesome.
