Default Internet Explorer/Window Media Player Issues

I've come across a problem on 5 of the computers in my office that I haven't encountered before. Anytime you play any audio or video through internet explorer or windows media player, it plays the content at double or triple speed (sounds like chipmunks). They are all current on windows updates and drivers as far as I can tell. Has anyone run across anything like this before?

Sounds like a driver problem for sure. Update the sound card driver and see if that resolves anything.
