#2 - Canucks
Sports jerseys are always a quick fix if you're in need of an easy Halloween costume, but the 1978-85 Canucks looked like they were trick or treating 365 days a year. Their jersey's three predominant colors of black, yellow and orange/red borrowed the color scheme from the October 31st holiday, and they couldn't shake that pumpkin theme for almost a decade.

Whoever wrote that article has a phobia of things coloured orange or yellow.

Hard to argue with any of those choices. I'm just glad they didn't mention the old Houston Astros "Rainbow" jerseys. I don't care what anybody says, those were cool.

I miss the old Tampa Bay Bucanneers threads - those were great, symbolized sunshine in the sunshine state.

As hideous as the Canucks V jerseys were, they were still an improvement over the previous style. But that belongs in the category of lamest jersey in history.

The Nucks, Lightning, Padres, White Sox, and Nuggets are all worthy of inclusion on this list. None of the others really seem that bad, though. And I'm probably alone in this, but I love the Preds mustard jerseys.

What about the third jersey beauties of the mid 90's? The Kings, Ducks come to mind. Those were f'ugly. And Phoenix's old jerey's.

The soccer jersey's were not that bad. I kept thinking the link wasn't working when I clicked on it and that picture kept showing up, till I actually read the caption. I have allways heard about the White Sox shorts experiment. Funny that that is the best picture they could come up with of that horrendous day. Most of the jerseys were not that bad at all. I would agree with Vancouver and the Denver Nuggets as well as the Tampa jersey. But allmost every MLB team from the 70's could be added to this list. The Pirates, Padres, Oakland A's, Mariners, I could go on and on.

Nashville's mustard yellow third jersey was a little much:
But for some reason, this NYI jersey sticks in my mind:
I'm glad the NHL left the cartoon-ish jerseys of the 90s in the dust.

They were actually ahead of their time with those. Those were an ideal jersey to enter into a marketing partnership with Captain Highligner!
But a lot of teams were guilty of stupid jersey's in the 90's. The Flames jerseys of the late 90's were terrible too. I see the Oilers are slow to catch on as usual as cartoon Oil rig worker guy is still part of their logo. It will be 2017 by the time they realize cartoon logo's are no longer relavent.

The U of A newspaper had an article on the ugliest hockey jerseys awhile ago. The Vancouver V jersey made the list, as well as thier Blue/Red faded jersey with the whale one it and the Orange/Black Canucks one with the "Bure" era logo on it. The Cap'n Fishstick NYI jersey made it too, but I thought the worst one was the LA Kings jersey from 1995 or so (the same year as the TB jersey in the article). It was white and had a grey faded stripe, that went over the shoulder, and it had a kings head on it too, but it was in the upper left corner. UGLY.

The Care Bear on the front looks sleepy. Not exactly intimidating.
