CPS Background Check question
My Fiancee is in the teaching program at the U of C and she needs a background check done to be eligible to do her practicum at an elementary school in Calgary.
She realized the check needed to be done only a few weeks ago and went in and paid to have the check done, however the usual wait time for a background check is 5-6 weeks. Turns out she starts at the school tomorrow morning, but without the background check completed she might not be able to interact with the kids.
I'm wondering if there is any way to fast track the background check, or to have some sort of interim solution in place so that she isn't forced to miss time for her practicum. When I asked the lady at CPS if there was any way to expedite the process, she said there was nothing that could be done.
Thought I would lob this one out to the brain trust and see if there is any work-around that could make the process go quicker.
Merci.....
