Anyway to turn it off for us office types with speakers? Good idea though.
If it works the way I have seen, the movie doesn't start automatically. Just shows you the player with a play button on the screen. Nothing happens until you click play.

I've seen it work on other sites and it works great. I agree it would be a great addition to this site.
With the play button...would that make for long loading times for reading the posts for people with slower internet? Or would it just not dowload the video until you clicked play?...if that makes sense
It doesn't start to download or buffer the movie until you hit play, so all you download is the flash player which is quite small (as small as some of the sig images I'm sure)

If you don't click the play button it won't affect your loading time.
