Who would you like to meet?
Boring day at work. Snowfall in Vancouver means everything shuts down. They can't handle it here.
Anyways, I was just thinking about where we get inspiration from, who we look to as our role models, who we admire? Or even people that simply amuse us. And i'm not talking about those we have personal relationships with (parents, etc).
If you could have a beer with any anyone (let's keep this to people currently living), who would it be? Why? Could be a writer, politician, actor, musician, athlete, whatever.
I could pick someone really intellectual, but being a musician and music fan, I have to say Noel Gallagher of Oasis. Not even neccessarily my favourite musician, but seems like a real guy, someone who made it from the working class life of Manchester, and who appreciates everything he has. He doesn't cater to trends, shoots from the hip, and seems like a cool guy to have a pint with and talk football.

His convictions, the way he has been there for victims of 9/11 personally, injured soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan, the fact that his human side comes out a lot more than many politicians out there today. He reminds me of Ralph Klein, in that they are both more down to earth than their peers. Klein is an everyday type of guy, and I think Bush is the same way.
Meeting George Sr. would be an honour as well. He is a true American hero in every sense of the word.

Wow, George Bush reminds me of a lot of things, bu Ralph Klein isn't one of them.
But I guess everyon is entitled to their opinions, so I'll bite my tongue on this one.

I would like to meet any Flame, and like North East Goon said especially Okotoker because we have a similar taste in music.
For a musician I would like to meet Frank Black. He's been my favorite musician for more then half my life.
I'm a huge Star Wars nut so it would be cool to meet George Lucas.

Wierd queston to which I don't have any particularly good answer
Hmmm... I'd either go for some girl I think is really hot that I figured would like a guy like me.. hehe, or someone who I could hit up for a good job.... Warren Buffet perhaps..
Other then that, not really all that interested in other people at the moment..

Just go to the players exit after a home game. A lot of the players stop to sign autographs as they leave. Kiprusoff is one of the players that ALWAYS stops.
Just make sure the weather is not crappy, and don't pick a night where the Flames have a road game the next day.

I would rather do than talk anyday of the week. I'm very hard pressed to think of anybody I want to sit down and talk to -- too boring. Sounds like the company Christmas party --boring.
On the other hand a heading off to play at say St. Andrews with Mike Weir, Phil Mickelson and Jack Nicklaus ---Now that would be fun!!!

I would like to meet Garry Bettman, Don Cherry/Ron McLean.
I think it would be amazing to meet Bush as well even though I don't agree with all the things he does.
Angelina Jolie would be pretty cool to meet as well.
