Well Niedermayer has had a real nice two week stretch for me, and it's brought his numbers for the year back in line, but Lidstrom and that Florida 5 have been unreal. Shut down Murry, Kovalchuk, Weight, Lidstrom, and Poti and you have a chance against the Panthers. Sort of like save the cheerleader, save the world.

I didn't nominate... I understand that...

But I would hope that consideration is made for players who are playing on a level higher than what's expected of them with POW and POM. I'm not saying this because the Nords are playing a higher level than most expected of them at the begining of the season... I'm saying this cause it's expected that players like Nieds and the like should be producing, but someone like (and only for arguements sake) Jason York, who at one time was 10 games in and at a point per game pace, who is actually having an outstanding week?

Not trying to take anything from Nieds. 8 points in 4 games is very impressive for a D man, but as I stated before... somewhat expected from a player like Nieds. I hope that the league, or whoever does POM takes into consideration the little guys having better than expected weeks.

^^^Yup those players are considered.

The nomination thread is basically an opportunity to sell your player and their performance. Some just post the player name, other post the name and stats - nothing says you can't even go beyond that and really sell why your player deserves consideration.
