hondas are stolen a lot for many reasons (rims, stereos, etc.), but also another critical one:

a WEAK steering lock, anyone but olive oil could probably break the steering lock on 20 straight years of hondas and acuras from the civic to the NSX.

That, and the fact that all you seemingly need in order to force your way through the door lock is a long pair of good scissors...

I wonder what the criteria is for age of least stolen vehicles because I have owned some vehicles that the liver foundation wouldn't even come and pick up.

Ha! Four years ago my 1993 Dodge Shadow was stolen....not a convertible mind you. Some little pukes had the ballz to steal it from the underground parking lot at my apartment - which had video surveillance.

I'd like to know if this is per vehicle on the road, or just volume. Because it seems that it would stand to reason that since civics are one of the most common cars that they would be the highest for volume. On a per car basis, who knows though?

Hmmm ... good thing I didn't buy my sister-in-law's Honda Civic a couple months ago.
A few years ago I saw a guy driving my car out of my gym parking lot .. was I ever ****ed. All the staff (all female at the time) were crying cause they felt so bad for me; I just wanted to find the loser and kick him where it hurts ... especially b/c he stole my car when there were car seats in the back

I think I'm pretty safe now .. I drive a Caravan loser cruiser

Hmmm, no 1986 Buick's huh? I'll bet that model doesn't get stolen a whole lot.

Figures....my dad had a 1996 Buick Lesabre that someone willed to him that he'd had for sale for about a year. Now my poor mom can't sell this stupid thing either. Looks like she could leave the keys in it with the doors unlocked and a big please steal me sign on it, and still have no luck.

My dad's '86 Park Avenue was stolen once, though this was back in '96.

My Dad's Oldsmobile was stolen a few years back by a bunch of punchs who took it for a joyride and smashed the hell out of it so bad it was a write off. What did they get for a penalty??? Probation....**** our justice system sucks ass.

just sold my car, a 240SX (my second), which has been broken into at least 3 or 4 times and never stolen - i had a button under the seat for the starter.

actually one of the more recent attempts started a huge electrical fire, the old screwdriver / wrench conductor trick.

it's not hard to electrically rig a car to be VERY hard to start.

A few years back I caught a guy trying to steal my car. He saw me coming with my buddy Louisville Slugger and ran off.

Years ago I had my car stolen from downtown Vancouver on a metered street. I reported it and checked the impound lots, no luck. A couple of weeks later I'm walking down the same street and there's my car. I put my key in and drove home. My car was fine, even had gas in the tank. Never figured out what was going on with that.
