Martin Hanzal Back in Florida!

After being drafted by GM Penney and the Panthers in the 2005 CPHL entry draft, 11th overall (I think), Martin Hanzal is BACK.

Chris Clark was quickly flipped to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday along with a 2nd round pick in exchange for the young Hanzal and Shean Donovan.

With several trades going down in Florida, the Panthers found themselves struggling against the cap. Clark, at this time, just made too much cash to keep around.

I would like to think of my deal like this.

"We really like these young kids and anytime when we can flip a guy like Samuelsson for Donovan on our roster for the 3rd line, it really doesn't hurt us. We were able to add two great kids who we really like and a veteran like Donovan who is a fan favorote" said Penney.

Senators thank Donovan for his time in Ottawa.. But he was a pending UFA and this gave us a chance to get a player who is signed for 3 years and a better Defensive forward..

Losing Hanzel also hurts but we felt we had a good group of young center prosects to work with right now. Getting the 2nd round pick will also help us to get a good young player for the future.

I forgot to mention that Clark requested a trade to Ottawa for reason's unknown.

I personally think he wants to be the Captain there...
