Default Outside water lines

Forgot to turn the outside water line off. The taps are frozen solid. Should I turn it off now or hope for a thaw. Thanks CP.

You may be able to open the bleeder valve from the inside of the house which should release some pressure and prevent things from getting worse. Odds are it will thaw it in a day or two and you should be ok. If not, now is the time to find out and not in the dead of winter.
