Yea, but it lost in Turkey, Canada and Spain.

How did "it" lose in Turkey? A self-described Islamist government was elected that is compromising its principles to get into the European Union and appears to be fairly common for the region in its approach to most things.
Turkey's outgoing Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit conceded defeat, saying he was not surprised at the result. Many Turks blamed the established parties for creating the economic crisis which brought unemployment and poverty over past two years.

The article acknowledges the electoral result of Spain and uses it as its base.
Canada? Terrorism didn't seem to be a consequential issue in Canada, certainly not the main focus as it was in Spain.
